This one is in an older problem-free holder. What would you grade it? I'll post the ANACS grade later.

Lots of marks on the face, around eye & cheek and one ding in front of the chin in the field that detracts some (but not a lot!). Very nice feather detail- just ever so slight weakness in feather tips, which could be slight wear or weak strike. Hard to tell if 4 full diamonds in the ribbon are present- seems so, but can't tell for sure- looks like one diamond might be a little weak. Reverse looks really nice and clean- minor ding by the T in Cent, but otherwise really clean- reverse is higher grade than obverse.

I think with all the dings on the obverse, despite what looks like mint luster, I'd say this one falls just a little short of mint state.

I'll go with AU55-58

I would say AU-55, due to the nicks and marks mentioned. I think it has a shot at MS, but it's too hard to tell from the pics. The ribbon and lower hair curl may have some wear, but it may just be a weak strike.

Thanks for your grades so far. I think this was a weak strike, but I believe the coin shows some small signs of wear. It probably is easier to see in hand than in the photos I provided. All 4 diamonds do show, but the 3rd from the bottom is very weak.

I'll let some others have the opportunity to grade before I post the ANACS grade.
