this I believe is a 1920 walking liberty with the face of the statue punched into it. I found this coin for sale and I want to know the round about value of the coin any help would be appreciated thanks.
there's really no collector value in it anymore because technically that coin is damaged, so its only worth melt and maybe a little extra because its cool, if it were me, id pay about $20 for this because I like it.
This is a type of coin art known as a "pop out" or a "punch out" and it was popular from the late 19th through the first half of the 20th century. It is created by forming a normal coin(I have never seen anything other than silver) over a positive die, you will typically see dollars and half dollars but I have also seen coins as small as a Mercury dime fashioned into a ring.
As a damaged coin, the only value it has would be the silver content. However, it does have value as art/jewelry. I would say at least $20 but I have seen some sell for over $50.
Edit: This coin art was not produced by the US Mint and there are many more than 10-20 in existence, I have personally seen a couple dozen myself in different types and denominations. They are uncommon but not rare.
