Just about everyone of them would look great in my 7070! What an incredible "set o' slabs".

Quote:SuperDave: Well, all my key date coins aren't in the high grades like the ones I posted here. Most are good to fine condition because I bought most of them a few years ago when I first started collecting again. Some of the coins I have out for grading are my 1921 & 1921 D Mercury dimes, 1932 D & S Washington quarters, 1931 S lincon cent, 1914 & 1915 Barber halves as well as a bust dime and bust halves from my type collection. I sent out 12 coins but those are all I remember right now. I just picked out the key dates from my sets and others from my type set that I really liked. I'll post pics of them all when I get them back. You have obviously already done the homework demanded of a collector, and your holdings reflect your solid choices. If some of these are investment vehicles for you, I urge you to hold for the short term but do not be afraid to convert. Once the economy is obviously changed to an upswing, lag the tide a little bit to allow the true collectors to regain confidence that they're no longer competing with metals speculators, and then liquidate through a reputable auction house and throw it into small- and mid-cap index funds. Or, just hold them, because you're making smart and recession-proof choices of coins I'd love to own. They will always be on a rising tide, because they're what people want. It's a pleasure to welcome you here, and I hope you're willing to share your thought processes with others in our forum.

Wow, never thought I would get so many replies. Thanks for all the compliments folks ! About a year ago I decided I wanted to try to put together a type set of all slabbed coins in VF or higher grades and this is what I've managed to put together so far. I like ANACS newer style slabs so that's what I've been looking for when making my purchases too. You cant look up a slabbed coin on their site but I've called a few times before making purchases and given them the serial number off the slabbed coin I'm thinking about purchasing and they will verify that it matches the info I have and they'll tell you the exact date it was graded by them. Their customer service has been great every time I've called.

wrestling_135......I've been a lurker for about a year. I would usually browse through posts here a couple times a week while on break at work. Since I work 60+ hours a week on a night shift I don't have the internet or cable TV at home and have that much more each month to spend on my coins. LOL I pretty much eat, sleep and work 6 days a week. It kinda sucks but it allows me to save and buy some of the coins I really want.

If you ever get worried about theft, you could simply send all those to me for safe keeping. My address after that would be in the Bahamas though.
