I bought my first 1 oz silver canadian wolf and got hooked instantly. Now I've got one of every 1 oz silver round from 2011 and working backwards while keeping up with the new 2012's. Slowly that turned into getting a roll of every US silver coin made from the Barbers to current. WHEN DOES THE ADDICTION END!! Most current set is trying to get all of the privy marked canadian maple leaf rounds. Thats a little rough :(

My uncle gave me 5 1oz american eagle in 2000 and when the price started going way up at the begining of 2011 it reminded me of those coins and I started looking into silver history, trends facts, etc etc etc...started buying a few oz and got hooked. Wish my uncle would have said something to me back in the day when they were $4oz. He most likley just thought it was a nice little gift and only paid $6.50 for each. I don't think he had a clue what was about to happen... all well. :-) most of my silver was bought for $33oz though...sux because I'm in at the upper registry but something is better than nothing considering I'm thinking log term for silver. I hope I'm not wrong and it's value will be considerably more in 20-30yrs from now than it is today otherwise, I didnt make a good investment. CHEERS!

It was a Kennedy half dollar a friend of my fathers gave me in 1971 when I was 9 years old. I don't remember if it was 40% or 90% silver but it was a silver one. John1

My dad showed me his small collection which included an 1856 Large Cent. At the time I couldn't comprehend the concept of 'large cents' but it was so old and intriguing.

My dad gave me a War Nickel when I was 7 or 8 after patiently waiting for him in a coin shop...that had a narwhal tusk.

My dad gave me two Eisenhower dollars in 1978. Their hefty size had me wanting more. While it was probably two years before I got my third one, I started noticing the appeal of other denominations. The obsession was born.

Surprisingly I was racking my brain for a gift for my Dad one Christmas so I bought him a Morgan silver dollar. He thought it was nice and was appreciative but I am the one who got hooked.

The 2011 SML rekindled the flame from when my grandfather gave me a 1973 RCMP Commemorative Dollar.
Still have it!

My mom gave me this Caracalla Denarius about 12 years ago. A few years ago I decided to expand and it has been a downward spiral ever since! :)
