Almost definitely a large date... "Liberty" looks like a too-strong strike to be a small date to me, though my eyesight the pic is a tad blurry.

Not a Lincoln Cent guy, but small date 70 S has weak strike on the word LIBERTY as a clue, so I would say this is a Large date 70 S! And the 0 is above the 7, not perpendicular across the entire date.

The strength of LIBERTY is NOT the key indicator of the difference between a large and small date. You WILL MISS a small date some day if you're using this as your only clue.
There HAVE to be at least three dozen threads here about small and large date 1970S cents that show the shape of the 9 and the relationship of the 7 and 0 to the rest of the date as the true indication as to which you have.

Thank you coppercoins for correcting me, but I haven't come across a 70S cent for so long that if any are to be find on the East coast, especially in NJ! I will contribute it to the dozen post of "Is this a small date 70S ?"
