The 1874H penny is g-aF probably worth 4-6 dollars.
I have a bunch of these old Brit coppers that I have basicly ignored for the last few years.
It is hard to get realy decent grade Brit copper coins pre 1900.
This site is good for looking up diferent types and values of Brit coins.

I thought you were going to put a couple of pics of your new 1946 Aussie penny up

I can't see any major marks or scuffs in this.
If the hair lines are good it must make VF-VF+
The book price on VF is $150 so I recon you did well on this coin
Downside I can't see any remaining lustre so it wont make any better than VF+

I think you got a fair price. I'm sticking with VF but that yucky toning in the ebay shots isn't there so must have been tricky lighting. Overall your coin is very pleasing with Nice detail, toning and lack of rim nicks.

I thought I would piggyback on this post. I just acquired a 1946 Australian 1-penny for my 1946 collection. I am surprised at how many there are available on ebay. The really nice examples bring (ask) hefty prices. Thus I was surprised to win this one for less than $16 including shipping even if not a showstopper. Hey, it fills a hole.

It was described as AU/unc which is an obvious overstatement. I am curious what the resident downunderers think of the grade. It shows obvious wear, so I'm figuring middle of the road, fine. But what do I know :)

I'd say gF or aVF. Bargain for $16.
