This one is listed in the Cherrypicker's Guide to Rare Die Varieties as FS-10-1963D-801 and it would be a premium DDR although it would not be worth as much as one in an early die state.

BTW, that is a nice find

(old thread but since I'm looking through some rolls of 1963-D dimes right now...)

Nice find! I hope to come across one too.

Cherrypickers has this DDR at $25 for AU50, $60 for MS60, $120 for MS63. Haven't checked auctions to compare that to current reality.

Just picked one up by accident. It was shinny, and I needed another dime to make an even $90. Go figure. There was an NGC MS65 with attribution that went for $103.

Hi, all

This is such an old post, hopefully someone will be able to answer a question.

I have found a 1964 Roosevelt with the same doubling patterns as this dime. The sheer fact that it's not a D, has me wondering if it's a Mechanical Doubling. Are there any instances of DDR on a non-D dime in 1964 posted here on this site that someone could link here?

Thanks.

I don't have that guide. But is the mint mark in the same location as the one on CCF?

This is a nice find! It's a late die state with plenty of Die Deterioration showing but the hub doubling is still rather pronounced.
