I'll shoot the gap and say VF-30. Loaded with eye appeal! I can see that coin selling for EF money.

IMO, I think this just misses EF-40, so I'm going with VF-35. I think (at first glance without tons of research) this is also a O-107/R3. NICE!

I would have guessed VF35 for the eye appeal. It's a beautiful coin.

NEVER bust this out of that holder. A generous grade IMHO. It has so much eye appeal, who cares what the grade is though. I would gladly own it!

Yeah I too think that XF40 was a bit generous. Personally I see it as a VF35. I've heard that pre-1812 coins are graded a bit more leniently by the third party graders. I think the coin dealer gave me a deal on this one since I'm a regular and I was buying another more expensive coin.

Amazing how much the grading standards have changed. I would have bet a solid VF on this one.

This is interesting how many under-graded the coin a little. That is what I thought, some have a tendency to be conservative when grading their coins.
