Your coin is a dead ringer for the CoinFacts example graded XF40. In fact yours has a touch better obverse detail. XF40.

VF35 and so close to EF40, I too love the clean look of the no stars variety the best in this series and the Half Dimes. EDITED: I think I'll change my grade to EF45 I think there is enough details in the head and hair. The shield is more than likely weakly struck than wear showing on it. It is a super original looking dime for sure!

Everyone was real close or dead on.
PCGS gave it a VF 35. I am very tempted to try the reconsideration for this one for XF. I absolutely love the color of it so I'm biased towards the higher grade.
Thanks for all the kind comments, it tooks months of searching and I'm very happy with it.

I'd be happy with it too, it's a beautiful coin that certainly could grade 40 on a given day. Skip the reconsideration though, it's not likely to be upgraded unless submitted raw after a crack-out. On another note, a glance at the Pop Reports and Survival Estimates suggest only about 100 pieces of this date exist in VF35/Better condition.

VF-30. Very nice! Quote: For some reason, I really, really like the No Stars Dimes and Half-Dimes. Me too, yet I own zero. This will have to change...... Soon!

awesome coin next on my list for sure and I wish I had this one. I agree, EF40 would be the grade on a different day with a different cup of coffee in their hands but hey, these are the chances taken when rolling the dice at the TPGs. no matter though, its a wonderful example
