The 'U' is just the most obvious difference. If you really compare then you can easily find a dozen or so changes. Basically the fonts are completely different. Other than the you the most obvious are the S T E and F. On the rev of 08 the S is narrower and shaped different than on the 07. The top of the T is about half as wide as the T is tall. On the 07 it is almost as wide as tall. On the 08 the top two arms of the E and F are the same length, on the 07 the lower arm is shorter. There are also differences in the serifs. The tilde between silver and one is shaped differently.

There were also changes made to the obv in 2008, but they are not important.

One sold on ebay recently for $800 (not First Strike)

A similar is ebay right now for $915 (ending soon)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-W-REVE...035622762&

I would like to get ahold this variety for my 7070, but I would settle for an PCGS MS69.

Nice coin!

Going by what this one sold for I did great.

C'mon and brag about how much you paid...or is this going to be a "Guess the price" coin?

BTW the one that I linked yesterday sold for $1153.

@Conder101, some people don't own every coin you know, lol.
I haven't been buying ASE's anymore. It's because people consider them coins
and not silver.

Neither do I, the only ASE's I have are a couple I won in raffle drawings and a few that happened to be in slabs I bought for my reference collection.

I believe the Mint stated that by the time they found the 2008 ASE'S with the reverse of the 2007 "error" they minted about 42,000 of them, that got away!!!!!! ;)

I thought that I'd bring this one back to the top. I was fortunate enough to run across a 2008 rev '07 ASE at a coin show last weekend. It's in the original packaging and is flawless as far as I can tell. The dealer said he wanted $460 (which was bid on the grey sheet), so I jumped on it.

Nice pick up A raw one sold for $590 a few weeks ago...

This one is up for grabs....someone had the bright idea to bake one and ruin it.

What is the outlook for raw 07/08 coins?
Is it going to hover around $500 forever, or are any of you thinking it will trend up in our lifetimes?
