Othe Texas commem is one of my favorites as well. Wow, an awesome looking set! The holder definitely makes it quite interesting!

Thanks for all the congratulations. As for any "stand-outs" in the set, the 1934 and the 1935 that I have photos of in the original post are awful nice. The '35 has a duller finish than the others, perhaps from toning, but its details are great. Four or five of the set were graded 64. The rest were raw when I bought them. There are only 2 that I believe would not grade MS, and the 38-D seems to have some PVC residue.
I'm very pleased with the set. I had planned to spend an average of $200 per coin, and I came in very close to that budget. Woo-hoo!

I'm sure that you had a lot of fun chasing down just the right one for each slot in the Texas outline.

Awesome set, specksynder! It's the holder that really stands out, and I bet if Capital Plastics had anything to do with it in the early 60's, the holder was a custom item and cost more than all 13 unc coins put together at the time. Oooh it's giving me ideas for my absolute favorite US coin design, the Oregon Trail Memorial and I can see a shaped custom holder for the 14-coin set. I have 11, just missing the pricy '39 set... But would be awesome on such a holder!
Thank you for sharing, it's quite an achievement to wait patiently for the right coins to come along, and quite an attractive set to boot! Hope you enjoy it for many, many years to come.

Bizybackson -- I agree, the holder is awesome (yes, I allow Capital Plastics to tell me what to collect). They also make/made a Nevada shaped holder for all the CC Morgans. I have seen one of those completed at the Local Coin Shop once. Oregon is a great idea.
