No restrike would be my opinion. We have already done this with the American Eagle (silver and gold) retro reminising is just that on resurecting an old design. As for the idea of circulating silver eagles I give a . and creation of 1/2 OZ, 1/4 OZ, and 1/10 OZ coin would round out a return to circulating silver. |

My vote is for the Peace dollar. One of the best coins to look at in full luster. Few dollars look as nice as an MS66/67 Peace dollar. |

I 'm with muddler on this one. Would love to see silver (of any intrinsic content) make a return to circulation. On that note, I pulled my very 1st War Nickel yesterday from pocket change!  Edited by CopperCastle

Morgan is what I selected, but can you imagine a Peace dollar with an excellent strike on BOTH sides of the coin? Even in CN? 9-% silver would and could be a HOT seller on the bullion side as well. |

None. My reasoning, seems like the introduction of the ASE took the wind out of the sails for the Walker series. Would hate to see that happen with any of the other classic designs. |

Great poll. I voted Morgan, of course, but all of the votes for the Peace dollar got me to thinking. If they did revive the Peace dollar in place of the ASE, and they kept it at .999 silver, would these new coins be considered a continuation of the original 24 90% silver coin series? In other words, would Dansco update their album? |

I went with the Seated Liberty. If we ever did go back to a large Dollar coin, it should be different than all out other STUFF with just heads.

Honestly though, if there was a "none of the above" option, I would have chosen that. We need to use new designs, and it's cool to be inspired from the past, but we need new blood in our money. I am sick of presidents on the money and we need the ideas of liberty and freedom to be represented once again, but in a fresh, appealing way. Just an opinion.
