Techwriter What a nice memory.. I think I am missing 3 zoells to complete my set. Unfortunately I don't have any duplicates or they'd head your way.

Coin Chick, appreciate your gracious offer. I'll find them again somewhere, even if I have to come back to Canada and troll the garage sales. Here's a sentimental momento from Hans, a gracious gentleman. ==

Nice pick up ... I didn't get home in time to bid (didn't put in an absentee!).
Glad it went to someone here.

Yeah my interest has been piqued from reading the '59er threads on here... and I think it will make a great addition to my library...
The set usually sells for $300 U.S. plus shipping... so taking the exchange rate into account that would be around $400 CAD.. so as long as I was under that including the juice and tax I think I did okay..
Happy with how the auction went.... managed to pick up some nice lots in my opinion... One that I'm really excited to have a look at when it arrives is the booklet of nickles that have the '25 and '26 far 6... hoping they're not "details" coins and I'll be happy as I don't have either in my own collection yet..

AgCoinAu, I'm assuming you were the winning bidder for the Large Cent books--good show I managed to get a few currency lots; none of the high $$ notes but still I'm happy.

I was shocked at the currency section.. a lot of items going for the opening bid.... there was that item of "all low matching serial" numbers I really wanted to take home.. but just didn't have the $$$..

I just watched and kept finger off the trigger until the lots I really wanted came up; didn't win all I bid for but what I did win will be nice additions to my currency collection. Some of the Dominion notes were tempting but too many $$ for my budget.

I was a big spender... I won the pliofilm strip of five 1968 nickel dollars. I had lower bids on the errors, but more for an inventory purchase than my collection, and did not win - glad they found a home.

I have been eating the S&H to Canada lately for those that order all four.
