One suggestion.
Go to a store that specializes in cameras (if there are any left) or look on-line for canned air.
Canned air is used to blow of the camera parts when repairs are made or just for general upkeep.
You can use the canned air to blow off all the dust are other small debris that detracted from some of your photos.
But I do like where you are heading very much.

Advertising a coin collection, gun collection, stamps, etc. is not really the smartest thing to do now days. Although you may not think anyone would try to find you due to a web site, you really never know. I really think the safest place for a coin collection is not to advertise it anywhere.

Thanks carl. Although I may not have experienced as much as you have, I feel that I would rather not collect things I like if I had to live in fear of losing my collection all the time. Not being able to share my passion with others would be a deal breaker. Sure, I think everyone should be prudent, but I think hobbies are inherently social activities. We just have to be smart about it. This is why communities like CCF are so greatly appreciated. I do miss spending saturdays at the coin shop shooting the breeze with friends in person.

A very nice blog site and awesome photos. I do something similar to you, but my motivation is quite different.
I have my coin photos on Flickr (there is an iPhone app for it also). For myself, I use it to keep track of the coins that are of the highest quality that make up my Canadian circulated coin collection. I can then access them on my iPhone when I am at a coin show and compare them against what a seller has. This approach allows me to compare if a coin in my collection is worthy of an upgrade. I see most of the old timers with pen and paper lists.
My privacy settings are turned on, so nobody except myself can see the photos. I started by using a 1200 dpi scanner to create the pictures as this was quicker, than using a camera, and since my coins are in 2x2 holders easier to scan. Then using a image editor to cropped them out individually and organising them into folders by denomination. It took a couple of days on and off in my spare time to complete.
I can quickly replace a coin picture with a new upgraded coin picture and keep everything current. I found that going to coin shows and looking at coins for sale I have trouble remembering the coin grades in my collection. This makes it a lot easier with the visual reference right on my phone.
My $0.02 cents.

Hi jbuck. I dont mean to clutter with multiple threads. Thoght that the other thread was about building a better collection and this one was about online tools for presentation, but if you think merging these is a good idea, i'll be happy with you exercising your moderating wisdom. Thanks to all for your feedback. And nss, good catch on the merc, i'll have to update when I get back. Traveling abroad this week to escape the cold Morning shot:

I'm not a techie, so I can't answer this one, but are you SURE you can't be tracked via IP address or some such? Nice collection! Any idea why no slots for Half Dimes?

IP addresses only identify you if the isp gives out your personal information. Usually that takes a court order. If someone was to go to all that trouble, I would think they would target someone with a more valuable collection and probably an easier mark. :-) There is one slot for Half Dimes right before all the nickels. I have a filler that is an 1860-O but will likely upgrade if when I get a chance.

There is no problem at all. This thread is okay, it is a separate topic. I was just pointing out that by looking at your online presentation, I was able to see more of your collection.

If you have a coin slabbed by NGC can it be placed in the registry?
