The shape of the mint mark is not like any genuine mint mark I've seen.

Do let us see what it looks like without the glue.

Soak the coin until the glue is gone ....

It might take 30 minutes ... might be a week.

Acetone will not hurt the coin

Oh ... for long soak I use a glass jar with a sealed lid.

Here is some more info on removing surface debris from coins. The first post is the most important. The second post about Xylene also contains some discussion about Acetone.

The MM is way wrong, looks like a botched fake attempt.

Looks like a 1919-S with PMD / a hit on the date.

The reverse has also been cleaned . You can do anything you want to this coin , but it will always be a virtual details cull .

I frequently learn the most from the blunt responses.

~ Mark

Synonyms: gruff, brusque, blunt, curt
These adjectives mean abrupt and sometimes discourteous in manner or speech. Gruff implies roughness or surliness but does not necessarily suggest rudeness: a decent fellow once you get past the gruff manner. Brusque emphasizes rude abruptness: dismissed us with a brusque wave of the hand. Blunt stresses utter frankness and usually a disconcerting directness: was blunt in her disapproval of the idea. Curt denotes usually rude briefness and abruptness of speech: a curt, two-line letter of rejection. {Word geekiness from TheFreeDictionary.com}

It is in acetone right now.

Does you think it is an added mint mark?

Ok, took it out of the acetone, didn't do almost anything, so does anyone believe it to be an added mintmark?

I can get better pictures if needed.
