I have been waiting for years to post that reply. That is a nice die chip. I have found several in that location but maybe not that size.

I'm still lookin at that Bee Hive! That's what most people call it Idacostya. It's always in the first bay, and usually up top and a lot smaller. Here's the only one I've ever found on a nickel.

Quote: Here's the only one I've ever found on a nickel. That is neat, now I've seen the smaller ones on the cents but not the nickels. Not really sure why COC didn't mention the die crack and die chip on column 10 though?

I think JC has been very busy lately. I don't know how he does it. just think of the volume he deals with. Maybe he missed it. Maybe we could let him slide just this once? lol When you have a marker like that, you should send a close-up with your other pictures.

How do these happen. They are often a breakdown that often happens slowly.

There wasn't really a need to start this new thread, you could have continued discussion on your original thread. I have locked the other thread.

Inadequate etiquette, indeed. lol One thread per coin and one coin per thread are both the way to go when you're trying to learn, teach or share something.
