Friends in the local club, but none of my longtime associates have any interest in coin collecting As Far As I Know anyway...

I don't have any, they all think I'm nuts. At least they bring me their coins though.

Had a friend and mentor who was also a dealer. He died of a heart attack at his table at a coin show in Tulsa. That was about 3-4 years ago. After that it was a pretty lonely hobby until this past January. CCF has certainly filled a void for me and I mean that sincerely.

I had no one while growing up in Florida. It was a lonely hobby. I had to compete with surfing, skiing, tennis, and dungeons & dragons. It certainly did not help in dating scenes either Although I participated in all the fun stuff that others did, I had to I kept low profile on collecting coins. People kept saying "WHY?" I showed my silver coins only to my best friend in high school, but he wanted to sell some and hit the beach. Those were the days where we had to pool money to get gas for our cars that get 8 mpg.

As many have already stated, CCF is it.

I had many close friends that did a local bid board in Boston back 30 years ago when I was first collecting. More recently, I made some friends at the local coin club as well as the shows I go to regularly. If you are active in any hobby, you will make friends unless you do it all online and never talk to anyone.

I live in southeast Alabama, I have no coin collecting friends. There is one local coin shop about 33 miles away. Every time I go in , there is no other collectors there. There is a military base here and we have a pawn shop that has a lot of coins from military personal. But the resale price is sometimes higher than book.
I'm so lonely .

I have one co-worker that collects coins with me. We both do bills as well, but our collecting styles are different. He just wants one of each for a full set of everything Korean, while I hoard just about everything of value. When I worked in the States, two co-workers of mine was also collectors and were the two that actually got me into the hobby. It is a special and rewarding hobby. I love it so much!

None of my friends are collectors. That's partly good, because when they got a foreign coin, they give it to me(I collect foreign coins), but I can't have a talk like a collector to another with nobody. Hopefully I'll meet someone in person who has the same hobby as me.
