Great looking evenly matched set! You chose them well.

I agree you need an album to let you enjoy both sides.

Well done. In 2013 I started collecting Large Cents as my Small Cents collection was as complete as I was happy with or could afford. Most of my collection of Large Cents are VF20 to EF40 with a couple coins slightly under that or slightly over. My 1858 is a graded ICCS VF30 which I took quite awhile to find in the price range I wanted to pay.

Like you I am now done this collection. I am not interested in all the varieties or spending more money for better quality. I collect all the other denominations of Canadian coins in better quality and for some reason this Large Cent denomination is the least favourite for me.

Maybe other Large Cent collectors can chime in and inspire me to love Large Cents more.

Harley1960, I have my coins in a Gardmaster album. It comes with dates printed and you see both sides, PVC free. I think they run about $14 Canadian. I don't have a picture handy of the Cent album but here is the 50 Cent one so you can get an idea of what they are like.

Hello harley1960. Now for the varieties and errors. eg: 3 x 1858, 11 x 1859 etc. Just joking. Great collection.

thanks again for the info, the 1858 is a double 5, should I take it out and replace with reg. 1858? is the 1858 double 5 worth much.

Great work and a very nice set of large cents..

Searching out some of the varieties is just another way to spend "quality" time with your hobby..

For me, if it's different I like to take note of that for future collectors..It also makes for interesting conversations with other like minds..
