From the photos, I would grade them as AU, or About Uncirculated. They are the Gordon-Towers signature pairing, and in the tentative grade given the catalovalue is about $800 each. As a consecutive pair, add some more for that. These are not rare, but they are sought after, especially in higher grades.

Catalog for UNC is $1600 each, but they're not selling for that.

Do go down to a coin shop, TOMORROW, and get mylar sleeves to put these in. Don't take them with you, you'll just damage them moving them around.

Consider having them graded by a service, such as PMG. Graded notes realize higher prices when it's time to sell.

At first glance, based on what I can see, both of your notes appear to be uncirculated.

I would suggest you get them safely into a couple of high-quality currency holders to protect them from the elements and unnecessary handling.

I am not a Canadian currency collector so I can't help you with value.

Wow! Thanks for the input guys! I will get these notes in protective holders ASAP and get these off to PMG.

Another alternative would be to send them to BCS, as they're in Canada.

Always difficult to grade paper money from pictures. But these look quite fresh, so I'm thinking AU is a good guess.

to the CCF!

Thanks coinfrog. I'd be very happy if these came back AU! Thanks everyone for the welcome! This place is great and looking forward to becoming a supporter and posting more of my notes and learning more about the hobby!

..to the Forums Ryguy...

I have 3 of these nice notes, if you are sending them to BCS you will find they are quite tough on grading, I thought a couple of mine were AU's too, came back EF's but, yours might hard to tell from photos, enjoy your stay with us.
