On a more serious note, thanks for posting a good example of a die chip that I have seen mentioned numerous times. I am sure you didn't take the time to photograph this for some funnin' on our behalf but it was kind of irresistible. You have to admit it is kind of a comical die chip afterall. We're just having a little fun.  |

Yes - we like to have fun here. This is an ironic error so how could we resist? Thanks for the post. I personally could never understand how "The Nose" quarter design actually made it to the minting stage anyway. So now there is a cool error I will keep a nostril ...er... an eye open for to own an interesting conversation piece.

Nose puns aren't too hard - they are results of a schnoz and effect occurrence like seeing that die chip positioned phlegm-boyantly in just the right location. It does not take a stuffy or snooty person to come up with pics. However, people normally ask me to beak quiet (or to muzzle it) when I start running through my trunkload of puns.
