"in transit" just means moving from one point to another, up or down the travel chain. Not necessarily a local point, could be region to region, but that's a good indication of where it's going.

"In transit to next facility" is a generic term that USPS uses to make you feel good. It lets you know know that you have a package coming to "somewhere" from "somewhere". They just don't know exactly where it's at at the moment. I think it's auto generated every 24 hours.

Whenever it gets scanned again you'll have a better feel of where it's at.

Just got another "In transit to next facility notice." Last time I ordered something from the seller, it came directly from the distribution center to the local distribution center here.

Here's some of the tracking info:

Thanks everyone. I will wait until Saturday for an update on the tracking. If I do not get an update by Saturday, I will look to receive a refund or contact the post office.

I had the same situation the past couple of days. The partial was delivered today. The box it came in was so small, the bar
code couldn't be read with the "gun" they use to read them. The box had collapsed and made it more difficult. Anyway, it arrived in my mailbox today. On time and no damage to my roll of nickels.

That's the typical "boilerplate" stuff just so USPS can say something once per day. Lets you know they are hard at work moving your package along (tongue in cheek.) Sometimes I get that 2-4 times, and package always shows up.

Wait for a few days. If you do not receive any tracking updates other than "In Transit To Next Facility", contact the USPS to resolve the issue.

I have a package( A Bark Box) that says it has been in Salt Lake City for over 10 days now. I called the Post Office "Hotline" today, and after waiting on hold for close to an hour they told me they couldn't provide anymore info on the packages whereabouts than what their website did.

I have faced same issues but finally received my order. USPS has so many issues. It has no proper tracking but USPS employees have a nice portal Liteblue

edited by moderator
link did not work

Quote:
The Postal Service is alerting employees to beware of a fraudulent LiteBlue site that recently appeared on the internet.

LiteBlue is used by employees to enroll in health plans, change their benefits, report unscheduled leave and perform other employment-related activities.

Hackers apparently launched the fake site to steal employees' information.

USPS has blocked access to the fraudulent site from internal postal computers and mobile devices. However, employees who use external search engines to find LiteBlue from their personal devices could be directed to the fake site
.
