AU55 sharpness and very original. Heck of a deal for $6 -- put her in some Verdi-Care and see if the surfaces come back to life.

This came in, and the seller sent me the wrong coin. He sent me a 1907 Indian cent. I contacted seller to clarify and he offered to send the correct coin, and I could keep this one. He probably did not want to pay for the return postage. I will update again when the right coin shows up. What do you think this one grades?   Edited by numismatic student

GREAT DEAL! 1907 looks XF-45 at least. 1906 looks AU-53. Both very nice!

The seller sent the original coin which actually looked really nice. I decided to give it an acetone dip and some green areas popped out after the acetone. I gave it a verdi-care treatment and it turned back to nice and lustrous. I think this is my best conservation experience yet. This is how the coin came:   This is what it looked like after the acetone bath:   And this is what they ended up looking like after the verdi-care treatment.   |

AU-55 . I don't know why the acetone left that bluish residue on that coin , but the Verdi-Care cleaned it up .  |
