Tks....suspected that.....the costs outweighing the gains.... But with the copper hoarders going crazy, I was just curious.

Quote: I hoard protectively store all Ikes Well....... this is just a much classier way of saying "hoard"..... Somehow, now, saying "hoard" has a grotesque connotation to it, and from here on out.....I'm going to use Jbucks phrase !! "Hoard" now gives me the picture of a paranoid enraged guy standing on top of a pile of coins with a baseball bat in his hands warning people not to come to close to his "hoard" !....

Quote: not all groups of protectively stored coins constitute a hoard! Jbuck.....How would you quantify your silver Ike collection ? A protectively stored hoard ? Is there a lot ? Just a few ? Not talking about your entire Ike collection......just silver...

Quote: Jbuck.....How would you quantify your silver Ike collection ? I have exactly one of each silver Ike, proof and uncirculated; no more, no less. Therefore, I have no stash of duplicate silver Ikes, whether it be a hoard or a group of extras that are protectively stored.

I realize that the love for them, doesn't necessarily equate to having obscene numbers of duplicates of them, but .......just had you pictured as "King Ike".....

.... about these AG coins.
The Kennedy Ike and Jefferson pictured so far
This would make a neat modern type coin set in one of those capitol holders. I'm just the opposite, I never carry coins in my pockets. If I do it is one until I get it in a holder. If I'm lucky I have one in each pocket. Last week I had two 1962 D Lincolns that must have come from a solid UNC roll. I was tempted to ask for all the pennies from the cashier at the convenience store but there was a big line behind me. They just wouldn't understand.
