Just wanted to share this image with y'all. These are the most honestly worn (not damaged) coins of these types I've ever come across. Anybody ever seen more wear than these?

The nickel is a 55d; the half I'm really not sure (maybe 83p)

Here is one that I have had for quite awhile. Can't remember where I got it at.

I'm guessing that they really didn't circulate but were pocket pieces. I can't imagine that 50-cent pieces really see that much commerce at all.

I get one or two 50 cent pieces every year in my change. Mostly they come from the local Dunkin Donuts which I visit almost daily. I currently have a 1983 Kennedy on my desk that I pulled from circulation a few months ago.

I don't think I have ever seen a Kennedy that was circulated below VF/XF, unless you count damage or slot machines. I always figure them for pocket pieces, at least someone actually carried these coins around. I have a couple, I think they are interesting. I have a WLH in my pocket right now, hopefully I will live long enough to make it look like that !

I like those somehow because of the wear, like they put in a good life's work, so to speak.
I've also heard of some US coins being used internationally, where coins often get different wear patterns.
