Thank you for the Feedback, I don't have a small enough scale. I'm going to pickup a smaller scale (I should have one anyway) to make sure. From what I'm seeing the Henning will come in somewhere around 5.2 to 5.4?

There looks to be a incuse rectangular shaped area where the mint mark should be. That along with the gouges in the same area has me wondering if the mint mark might have been removed.

How about the color in hand you should be able to tell a Nickel composition from a Silver one .
Nick , I don't believe one would remove the MM to make a Henning .

Ok so. I just weighed it, its coming in at around 4.9 Grams. I weighed a few other War Nickels as a control, they are the same. The color does have the same Silver"ish" look to it as the other War Nickels I have. Another thing you can notice on the Image is the missing "O" and partial "L" in Monticello. I've been looking up close with the USB scope, and can't see any evidence of scratching of buffing where the mint mark should be

IMO it looks like metal movement from the LU in Pluribis all the way to the right edge of the coin.

agree with nfine, those lines around where the MM should be suggest the MM was removed

Or Struck Through Grease since the LO of MONTICELLO seems affected?

The sad part is that the fakes are worth more than the real nickels. (?) This looks like someone removed the mintmark to make it look like a fake?

Lettering is too sharp to be a Henning as well.

Thank you everyone for your Feedback, it is much appreciated. I guess I'm just going to put this in a cardboard holder as a War Nickel for now, until I can figure out what it is for sure. Thanks Again!
