If it were to have a V.D.B. it would be at the bottom near the rim on the reverse, not under Lincoln's bust on a 1909 anyway.

f there is a VDB on your 1909's, it would be on the reverse at the bottom between the wheat stems. Not on the obverse.

There is a die pair where the VDB is very faint even on higher grades,

Both true - don't know why you are seeing VDB's all over. But it's always on the reverse.

In the process of learning, the OP does not know where the 'VDB' shows up on a 1909 LWC. I had asked for pics of the reverse bottom only, but...

Sorry, I see someone already pointed out what I repeated here.

1909 V.D.B. location and 2009 location.

I post so many pictures because I am having a problem trying to get the photo to accurately depict what I see in person. In person I can trace 90% of the visible markings to a vbd hidden In the obverse and reverse. If you look closely at these and the previous images you can hopefully make it out

Is this acceptable or do I need to find a better example

No that coin is not acceptable for a VDB designation . Put away your camera for now we don't need anymore photos of everything on that coin . And yes you do need to find a better example . They are not expensive ,you can pick up an EF-40 for less then $10 .
