Without grade know of a estimate price? Graded prices as well? How much does it cost to have a coin graded

 to the CCF Sorry but can't see any doubling from the pictures supplied. Could you please take a closeup of the area you think is doubled. Also orient your pictures properly so we are not trying to look sideways. |

If you are referring the area at the top of the letter T in LIBERTY, that's a ridge caused by a deteriorating die. I see some possible evidence of the same thing on the top of the E and potentially the other letters as well. As to your second question, grading and attribution are two different things. The overall condition of the coin is what is graded, and at PCGS that's going to set you back about $50. Other graders charge less, though. Attribution is when they verify the presence of a variety on a coin. PCGS charges $18 additional for that, and you don't get a refund if they don't find what you think you see. Also, PCGS only attributes certain varieties, typically those found in the Cherry Pickers Guide, so unless your coin is already recognized as a significant variety they won't attribute it. |
