IMO it's a die scratch.

What are you basing that on Kanga? It's very clearly a die crack as it is raised rather than incuse.

Very nice find PNW! This is definitely on the better side and one I'd consider a definite keeper.

Very nice die crack. It's not a scratch on either the coin or the die. it's just too wide and irregular to be a scratch.

So I'm brand new to looking on CoC and am kind of lost. I'm trying to see if my die crack is on there and am at a lost. I know its nothing major but I'm just curious as to if its been registered.1976-D-Washington-Quarter-Die-Crack

Nice example! Does the obverse show a doubled die?

I posted it back in mid August. Now I'm just trying to see if I potentially found something new

It is a die defect. An aging die. Wrinkles to a senior is not a badge of honor. Just an aging process. When the dies crack, all the rest of the coins stuck with that die will have the same crack until the die is retired. As much as 54% of all the coins could be affected that way. It is interesting to new ones and they save them, but after a few years of searching, they realize how common they were.
