I would guess MS-60BN, but at this level of die wear discerning between AU and MS is nearly impossible for me.

It appears to be Die Deterioration on the mint mark.

It has nice luster in hand actually and nice surfaces...hit and hairlines are minimal. I think it could push out an ms63+ based on the ms63rb 22d I submitted a while back that was beyond VLDS...if the strike was great I could see it in an ms65 holder. The chatter on the high points is common on the vlds coins. I believe this is from the die wear resulting in less die pressure from the larger details of a worn die...and therefore not striking out the planchet at the high points very well. Though I may be wrong

I could see MS61. Is that a ding on the rim--best viewed on the reverse--or a small chunk of oatmeal? Nice, subtle die crack on the right wheat stalk--going to the rim (2nd photo).

Not a rim hit, it's a piece of raised metal, a Cud possibly, or maybe delam @ijn1944

I'll have to say AU-58, but my ignorance on worn-die coins is profound.

Sweet VLDS . The MM has me confused . Anybody know what's with it

Well first off, it's an S while the title says D. That's the first thing I saw - caught it right away I did

Based on a little extra chatter, I'd say this one saw a little bit of circulation. AU-58.

I'll be the minority here and get my guess in at MS63 BN. I initially thought 64 based on marks alone, but lack of luster will keep it to 63 IMO.

Yikes, that's a late one. I think it makes MS-63.
