Hard to say for sure, but are the marks, other than the obvious one on the nose,on the coin or the flip? The marks are different in the two obverse photos, so it is either lighting or they are on the flip. JMHO

if those marks across the profile are on the coin I have to go AU55 details. they are in a crisscross pattern and indicative of someone cleaning the coin with some type of abrasive cloth or something

I'm going with AU-55 Straight . I don't think it was cleaned ,unless long ago and now market acceptable . Yes the cut on nose is detracting but in my opinion not a details coin .  |

I'd say AU details. The possible old cleaning on the reverse should get a pass, but the abrasions on the cheek and neck would probably detail it (unless by some chance they're on the 2x2).

AU details. The obverse scratches eliminate a straight grade I think.

I was AU Details cleaned on both coins. Your coin has strong eye appeal, but unfortunately it is showing signs of a cleaning. Nice photo.

The seller didn't help the sale with those photos. Your in-hand photos are much better.
Old cleaning, market acceptable, AU-55 straight. Nice strike for a depression-era half.

Your pics are significant better than the sellers, but also make the cleaning more apparent. I'm still at my initial AU Details, cleaned, as well.
