Yikes, ms 62 for that price, what a steal..... Well they aren't breaking any rules since it's graded by PCGS...

That one is going to sit around for a while at that asking price. I think the MS-62 grade is a little harsh unless the toning is hiding more marks.

Forgot to deduct a point or two for grading from TrueView pics. That obverse toning is not all that attractive in real life. Pretty exceptional toning on the reverse, but that price is wishful thinking...

Crazy price on that one. I recall around 15 years ago toned Morgans and Peace dollars were getting moon money, perhaps the trend is coming back.

Obviously the TrueView photos are hiding some surface marks.

Some sort of image glitch going on here, but yeah that is a hefty price tag.

I think that the slab plastic, the toning, and the fact that we only have on screen pictures, have all played against us to hide marks that we can't see, and so make grading by us more difficult. Therefore, don't feel too bad if you disagree with PCGS, who had the advantage of examining raw, under ideal lighting conditions. Nevertheless, I also think that some CCF'ers are occasionally more accurate than the TPG's. With rare coins in high MS grades, fine differences of opinion can have huge implication in price differences. Negotiating a sale for such coins can be a risky business. I am glad that I am not a professional TPGrader. Safer and cheaper for most of us to stay in the AU and lower MS grades.
