I would side with the MS64FSB crowd.

That obverse looks like a Proof. All the details on the reverse are razor sharp. I'm going to go with PR-64.

Quote: That obverse looks like a Proof. I was thinking that as well...but I couldn't see the top rim on the obverse or reverse. Maybe a slight angle of how the pic was taken? I might have to change from MS-65FB to PR-64 as well. Good call IGE! smat

I also think it's a proof from my first look the reverse is just to well struck up. The polish around the eye also looks proof, I'm a bit lower on grade than everyone else though I think PR63 maybe even PR62, though usually the 62 proof range has spotting and I don't see any on this one so PR63 final for my best guess.

good call IGE. I was thinking wow those verticals and diagonals have super sharp edges and definition. the holder is not helping with all the marks, scuffs and light distortion. its either an EDS or proof. i'll concede PR63 maybe 64

What we don't know is are the marks on the holder or the coin.

I was worried for a little while that my photos wherent good enough. But This coin is graded PCGS Pf65. And like with almost all proofs from 1936 there is no trace of any cameo effect. I think there are only a handful of 1936 pennies that have been graded pf Cameo & No Nickles / Dimes / Quarters / or Halves from 1936 with such a designation.
I've been collecting for a couple years... Favorite Coin's are Standing Liberty quarters, Working on my type set | Coffee, Corvettes, Coins & the CCF what could be better?

Nice coin then at PR65 I wouldn't have gone quite that high (and didn't), but in hand it may tell a different story than the photos. I think the photos kept me from going much higher the little scratches are likely on the holder. A very nice first year proof issue, without the usual spotting or milky white areas.
