weight is needed, but based on these photos, looks a mis-aligned die to me. I think it is a case of paridolia seeing a cow in front of Lincoln. And I see no genuine doubling, instead see zinc exposure giving the appearance of doubling when it is not.

Why would it be copper colored if it is silver? I see nothing to indicate anything other than a misaligned die strike.

Well I guess I will have to throw it back. But suppose that I keep it. What name would I put on it for my files? On the square cardboard stappled see through protector.? Any help? Missalighned Dye? I hope you like my finds. I am active now.

Glad to have you active here @279 and you should absolutely keep the coins you want. The cost of ownership is low and you can always spend this one when you find an even nicer example. Without more information like the weight, this cent was struck from a misaligned die and should be labeled as such.

I'm still busy trying to figure out why this cent has 2 rims between K8 to K12..
With a MAD - I would expect to see only one rim (not in the usual location)

This cent was struck by a misaligned obverse die. I see nothing exceptional about this specimen.
