I was not aware that Morgan dollars were minted in New Orleans in 1921.

Only thru 1904. The New Orleans mint closed in 1909.

Probably Denver - those tiny mint marks are difficult to see sometimes.

As stated above, you will need to provide clear photos of both sides before anyone can help with variety attribution. Even then, there are a great many VAMs associated with the 1921s that may not be identifiable without the coin in hand. Most have little, if any, added premium.

Satchmo, in any case, these appear to be well-circulated coins that would not be worth your while sending to a TPG for grading.

Definitely not worth grading - these are bullion trackers.

Yep, 21's were never minted in New Orleans...

The only time a 21 Morgan dollar could justifiably be graded is if it is gem uncirculated or has a specialty VAM per vamworld...

These are well circulated examples and not worthy of TPG grading. Save your money for more coins.

Where is the sticky at that newcomers are mandated to read before asking to get graded?

This has increasingly become an issue as of late..

Sorry I meant Denver. Multitasking. These are never popular in these kinds of websites and all the Debbie Downers come out. You can submit VAMs and get your own number plus if you know the people who just collect these. There's hundreds of ways to sell coins.

The kind folks at the CCF offered no insults - we were simply commenting to your best interests on your own statement:

Probably gonna send em to be graded.

These will cost you $30 to $50 at any TPG for grading - and they are bullion value coins.

Your call of course to spend that much but we are simply offering our advice that the math does not work out - at least for knowledgable collectors.

I can't identify anything of note on your coins from the photos. In reading some of your other comments, I know you are familiar with VamWorld. If I had these coins in hand, the way I would try to pin them down is by the die crack maps on the site. It may be your best bet to identify the variety on any 1921. I hope you will come back to the thread and let us know what you find.

Edited for clarity.

Thx guys for the info I printed the entire list of 21's from VAM world and I found one or two that is similar. I also printed several larger Morgans that I found without the dark inside. I looked at the microscope and drew on what I printed the cracks that I saw. This gave me a way to compare the ones I printed. You can tell from the list and pics of VAM world the various stages of the deteriorating die. One of mine must have been at the beginning bcuz the obverse only has a very few cracks around the edges and the reverse has prominent cracks all about states and ted and a few other small ones around the edges. The other one has a lot of cracks around united state of America and several around the eagle on reverse and the obverse has above e pluribus unum and by 3 stars and the date. This one I can't find anything close.

The VAM attributions are definitely "expanding" the category ... I see a bullioin 21' with little advantage to TPG ... just my opinion.
