My last couple coin hunts somewhat uneventful save finding 2009 P Capitol building in exquisite BU condition. It completed my 2nd penny collection Whitman book III. So search was not a total loss.

Congrats on your set. The capitol cent is the hardest to find in circulation.

Thanks! I'm really proud of them. When I find another Capitol and have a second set I will post it.

Pretty set. It's always a good feeling when a set is finely complete.

Check with your local coin shop if they have any uncirculated ones in their change drawer, I got 2 uncirculated capitol building cents as change once from my LCS.

Nice! As others have said, they are scarce in circulation, especially the Presidency issue.

Nice finds jvcv_0 and good set Badthad. Did you know there are differences in the circulated and uncirculated composition of these coins? The circulation version of these coins uses the same metal content as other modern cents (2.5 percent copper, the rest zinc). The uncirculated version contains the metals used in the original 1909 cent (95 percent copper, 5 percent tin and zinc). https://www.PCGS.com/news/2009-sati...low-mintages
