Am I seeing things, or is that a 3-legged buff? I want to be first in line to say I'll give you double your money for it.

Carl, that is great cherry picking! Congratulations! Now how many three legged Buffs do you have now? I wish Oklahoma had more shows.

With 6 Albums of those now and all almost complete, this is the 5th one of those 3 leggers. And it is the best one so it goes into set #1 for sure. With 3 shows a month things like this are bound to happen. I did warn that guy a few times there may be something in there that is valuable. I tried. The other 14 coins for that $5 were also in decent condition.

3 legged buff? I assume from die fill and enough of them to be a recognised variety? Looks to be in great condition to me and I am not very familiar with these coins at all.

and for what he paid, he just didn't care

I would have said "Oh, okay", got my 3 (including this one) and that would have been the transaction.
On to the next dealer that doesn't care

Carl
Nice cherrypick!

Congrats.

We should use it as a new thread to ask:
what's your favorite cherrypick!

Carl,

If I send you a dollar, will you check back with this guy to see if he has any more of those 3 legged buffs?

I did purchase $5 worth of those. That was 3/$1 and he wouldn't go down in price either. I really should have made him an offer for the entire box which is what I keep telling myself now, of course. Sure wonder what was on the bottom of those. When I saw that one coin I didn't want to press the issue to much but I did try to tell him. It was a crowded show and he just didn't want to be bothered.
I also purchased other coins at that show but just can't remember what. Haven't looked at what else since that 3 legger is here.

Oddly enough this question made me go look at what else I did buy at that show. I did go there with the intent of finding some better grade Buffalo nickels. Also, picked up 38D MS-64, 37S MS-65, 30P MS-64, 19D XF, 18S XF. Also, 3 boxes of Girl Scout cookies from his daughter. All from a dealer I nomally buy from. He gives me some great prices but he is one of those dealers that raises his prices by about 20% knowing most customers demand a 20% discount. I usually get a little better than that but no really great buys.
Hopefully at the next show Mr.I don't care what's in that box will be back.

I think the coin market is so strong because everyone is trying to find something else besides the stock market to put their money into for investments because of the economy
