I can understand why there may be a wide variation in opinions regarding the grade.

One of the grading problems for me is the hair detail above Lib's ear.
Some nice examples with a small flat spot in this area can be in MS grades.
In MS grades, the best way to determine if the reason is for wear or non strike up of hair detail is to
look for luster disturbance in this area.
To do this requires close inspection, hand held, with a loupe of at least 10x power.

From these pics only
numerous small dings in fields, and a slight softness in overall design detail suggest to me a grade of
AU-55.

Quite a few circulation hits, and some light wear on the hair bun and wing tips. I'd say AU-55.

I'll also go into AU-55. It might be a stretch to AU-58. There are a lot of scratches so I won't go into an MS grade. The design is a little soft. Very nice keeper!

AU55 was my gut reaction as well. Lots of circulation evident in the fields.

AU graders - please point out the areas on the devices where you see wear. Forget the field marks - this is a soft gold coin.

I could easily be wrong, but here's where I think there is wear.

The slight high-point wear and (especially) the friction and luster loss in the open field areas confirm this is a circulated coin. I do think it's solid for the assigned grade.

several nailed this one. i'll add to all the comments about a 55 grade is the loss of luster on the fields on both sides let me to swing from a possible 62 to a circulated 55
