I like the designs of all those 1 and 2.5oz military medals, they did a great job and I dont think you need to have been in the military to appreciate them. The limited mintages on some like the 2.5 will also help with value as there is demand, although of course not everyone buys them related to potential value changes and may therefore like the bronze which is much less just to appreciate the design. Its appreciated they put out such a product as like the proof/reverse proof innovation dollars, some just like to enjoy how it looks and dont have to have lots of money to collect those. Heres the coast guard also in bronze still available since its unlimited mintage https://catalog.usmint.gov/us-coast...al-MCGS.html
I actually have bought some 1 ounce copper rounds for a similar reason just for the design without spending the much higher cost for the intrinsic silver value with the 1 ounce silver versions and a gold... my opinion on those is to totally avoid collectible design on GOLD as the very high value of the gold itself will typically keep it from increasing much if any in value beyond that. Stick to only gold bullion imo unless you are totally in love with a design. I do see a few designs in gold that just look amazing but again wont generally increase in value too much unless it was a very limited special coin so keep in mind for its very high cost to obtain.
Collecting the Military Medals Comes Naturally for Me, I Enjoy The Silver Series, Very Much.
Everyone has their reasons, Mine are Many, Besides the collectibility, Giving/Gifting These medals is Awesome, Now I see Another member Stating The Bronze Medals, Same designs as the 2 . 5 ounce and 1 Ounce , Coming soon, I looked into and , Well It was a Easy decision, I ordered a Few of Each Still Available.
Today My Lightweight Boxes showed up, The Medals were placed in a Plastic Bag, Zipped shut, Between Nicely Packaged Bubble Wrap, What The Heck is This , This is NO way to Ship and Deliver MEDALS, Very Unacceptable !!!!!!! No Boxes, No Information What So Ever, ?
How Many Medals in ONE bag is the Policy, 6, 8, 10 ? Terrible way to Do Business...... Hope they do Not decide to Ship the ASE's this way......

This has been standard packaging for many years. The Mint has never treated the modern "miniature" bronze medals with anything but "economy" service - at least for the decades that I have been buying them.

The 2.5 oz medals for example come in nice packaging, heres a video below of a typical unboxing as its usually not shown on the forums. These are the limited mintage where condition is key to value for those interested also in that side also. On a $20 medal its unlimited mintage and is more intended for the casual collector who likes the designs I mentioned but may have little thought to the value for the most part. Packaged well enough but nothing special as you get with your ASEs and such. Proof sets come in packaging, while circulation coins come in rolls and bags even when some may hold value in top pop condition. The liberty medal also at ASE pricing comes in packaging at higher cost.
Well my Bronze US Navy Medal arrived today. In a tiny cello package, wrapped in bubble wrap then boxed up - and it STILL arrived unscathed, unmarked, and undamaged. and a tiny Rim Fin on the bottom on both sides.
