Let me try it again...bluish spots on silver coins, purchased from Littleton coin around 1993. where keep in original cellophane sleeve, (original packaging), until I saw the spots on them around 2000. I then put coins in cardboard coin holders with the spots on them: this was the only time there where touched. No other coins have any problems. Spots on both sides of coins. Where keep in strong box with other coins in cardboard holders. Thanks coin guy 56.

Hopefully toning and not carbon spots, but in the picture it is difficult to say.

Could be a reaction to whatever Littleton had them in. I would dip them in acetone and see if it comes off. If it doesn't these are basically bullion coins and worth the silver value.

I store my ASE in a holder and in a box. I recommend you do the same.

I was thinking carbon spots - it is possible that the Littleton packages have tiny punctures in them letting in air?

Looks better. I recommend you remove all the coins from the Littleton case, it could be causing the issue.

I'm shocked those spots came off with just acetone.
