Attractive piece. It's right on the line between VF and XF.

I'm stuck between VF-35 and EF-40, could argue either way.

I see PCGS slabbed VF35 sales in 2023 from $216 - $288. Just a quick look on my part. You can search ebay and see what they're going for there and make the slab decision accordingly. Depends what you have in it and why you want to slab it, IMHO.

Should I slab it? It's in collectible condition at EF35, I'm not sure if there's much demand for a slabbed example at that grade. Watch ebay and see how long other examples take to sell. Slap into your 7070.

Make sure to do the math for slabbing first. PCGS first submission will cost you around 200.00 b/c of membership fees, post and insurance etc. Basically giving most of the value to the grading company.

consider this before slabbing. if the coin grades at VF35 rather than XF40 sales are between $300-350 at XF40 closer to $350. as Earle42 stated you're giving most of the value of the coin to the grading company.
two reasons to slab
1. its a rare coin that needs authenticated and preserved 2. you are planning on selling the coin and the cost of acquisition plus the grading fee's would warrant it without chewing up all your profit
i don't slab coins for these reasons especially the cost involved. I don't know why this is so popular today. just making the grading companies wealthy
