The absolute truth, I swear - in the 50s, when I was a kid, we could put this entire set together in 4-6 months from circulation and maybe some Saturday bag-searching at the local bank. I did this at least 3 times, but couldn't afford to keep them because of the high face value.

When we moved to the states in the 70's my dad got a few walking liberties in change, even then 50 cents was money, you could get 4 cans of veggies for a dollar, McDonald's dollar menu was pretty much everything on the menu. Even in the 80's I could get a cup of coffee and a buttered roll for a $1.

Last picture, the full Walker collection. The ones in flips and tube are duplicates, which I'm using as a stack, but may eventually sell.

My Walking Liberty halves are in older Whitman albums, two for the set. Yours is much better for viewing and I am compelled to do the same with my Walkers. Nice set.

As a dealer the obvious thing that stands out to me is that there are NO PROBLEM COINS. So if you bring this to my table I can easily sell the set as is or (more likely) break it up as singles cause most of your late 30s and then 40s are obviously XF to UNC. Every single one of these coins I could sell as a stand alone single and I don't get stuck with anything that's automatic clearance. If you ever up grade the 1921-D keep in mind that most grade under Fine-12 and then and this is KEY most have problem cause they either have in this order #1 damaged rims or #2 are scratched or are #3 are obviously cleaned but not polished. So you use that 21-D as a weapon to get another KEY DATE coin you need. And trade for a key that's just as tough to find as the 21-D if not tougher. All of us dealers have trouble getting our hands on a nice 21-D. Lots of the big fish will buy a set like this just to get the 21-D.

@atchisonBJ,
I looked at each coin and picked ones that met 3 criteria: 1) Was within my budget. 2) Looked good for the grade 3) Was not details in any sort of way.
Thank you for confirming I have met my criteria.
Of all the ones I purchased, only the 1921 S was details in that it had a scratch which I replaced as I found a nice one recently. A former member sent me a few walkers as a birthday gift and the 1938 was cleaned. I kept it for a few years, but that one was also replaced.
I looked over each one and I believe that you are correct and there are no details/problem coins.
Of the 1930-1940 ones, I am actively looking to get all to a minimum of AU, but locally I have gotten all the ones that meet the criteria above so going to a coin show this Sunday to see if can upgrade 1 or 2.
