MS64 is what I'll guess PCGS called it.

Eek, you may be right! I could see a crazy person calling this uncirculated.

It's an AU coin lower to mid grade 53-55 range IMO.

I bet PCGS called it Mint State MS62/63). Should it also be a details coin due to the obverse digs/scratches in the field in front of the portrait? I can't say for sure without an in hand look, but quite possibly. I pretty much agree with MisterT's assessment.

Certainly no less than AU. I'm at AU55.

I don't think they details it for the scratches left of the bust, but you never know, and we're grading from TrueView, after all...

I thought this one was a bit cleaned, although I've seen worse. I am glad that PCGS called it AU(55), as MS anything seems inappropriate on this one. The marks on the left side of the obverse field show up in the True View, but not so much in person. Mr. T found the 25/50 feature that indeed makes this coin quite scarce. I wish it was mine, but sadly it's not.

It's a very scarce and desirable coin. I'd be quite thrilled to have one in my collection!

Me either, and that is a BIG mistake, need to look at the coin a lot closer, I didn't even read the other comments, as I usually don't in grading threads, until after the grade is revealed. I totally missed the 25 over 50 denomination and MisterT's astute call on that. I still think the coin might deserve details? But would need to see in hand as to how bad those digs are, it is a super rare variety for the series.

The digs don't show up so much on the full slab photo, so maybe they aren't all that bad.
