Very weak but also very interesting thread! I look forward to hearing more on this one.

You can see the feint outline of the V and the bottom part of the D barely. I don't see any B from the photos

Marve65, good detective work I can just see the faint (VDB) on that coin. I know what I'm doing to day. Looking at all my fathers 1909s which is (6).

This is the slabbed coin, It would be more informative if the slab stated "Weak V.D.B."

Very Nice! I agree, it would've been nice if they included the "Weak VBD" on the label.
The weak VBD does speak for itself though.

Yes I can see the V clearly. Good you got it graded. Does the weak VDB reduce the value as opposed to a stronger VDB? I know with the 1858/7 flying eagle, A strong and weak over date are denoted on slabs and the weak over date is significantly less valuable.

Does the prong in the holder cover the VDB? I hope not but if it does keep hi-res images of the VDB, actually just a V, on your phone and/or computer/tablet.

If this piece was struck after mint employees attempted to remove the VBD from the dies I believe it could increase the value. Without that being noted on the label you might have a hard time convincing someone it was struck after the VDB in the dies was "removed". Either was it's very nice you have it certified. Congratulations!
