I Like the Idea Mojo, Very Smooth transition Idea , Keeping the OGP.  I Believe these Will Look Sweet, In What ever You Choose, All Filled in with Uncirculated, Proofs, Enhanced Uncirculated, Enhanced Reverse Proofs, ......    I Too want to Easily View these at a Glance, That's some sweet idea for displaying Your American Silver Eagle All Stars........ |

I, too, wish that the album / case manufacturers would offer products that fit the OGP capsules. I opted for CAPS albums for my ASE collections and have had to transfer all of them to Air Tites. Though the OGP capsules DO have a little larger diameter and that could be a concern in a case like you have displayed where the capsules are very close to each other. The CAPS albums have quite a bit more room between. |

Lighthouse makes Coin Boxes/Trays that might do the trick. The 48mm size should hold your ASEs in OGP. (I would confirm before ordering!) Those are cool and defnitely a great option. One drawback is you can't flip the page and see the reverse. Not a huge deal to pull out the drawer and take the capsule out, I suppose.

If an "album" approach is top priority, I would suggest looking into the Lighthouse ENCAP pages. They can be used to create a custom binder capable of holding most encapsulated coins - the pages can be mixed-and-matched. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. Here's the one I'd try. Holds up to 48mm. Holds a ton of coins,60 did it say? The ASE box holds 47mm, which works fine for my bullion in the capsules I have, even a little loose. A proof ASE capsule is too tight. If you didn't intend on removing you could get by. I tried it and when I tried to remove, the capsule separated and I had to pry the bottom of the capsule out with a knife, not happy about that. I think the 1mm will make it a perfect fit. Yes indeed I do use that same box for my slabbed Ikes. But none of my ASEs are slabbed. And if they were, it would take....numerous such boxes to hold my ASE collection of 25 years.  @commems, the lighthouse ENCAP pages suitable for ASEs are essentially the same as CAPS ASE pages. 20 per page. I have lots of Lighthouse stuff and it's great, but for whatever reason I decided to go with CAPS for ASEs. All the options mentioned here have merit; to each their own! |

I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Lighthouse trays, the 2 x 2 version holds 20 ASEs in the OGP Capsule nicely and look fantastic! Thanks again Commems for the suggestion!  |
