I don't but the last 8 does look like maybe? 1818/5 would have pushed this out of my price range and the slab doesn't note the variety. I should have it in hand next week to confirm. I'll reveal the grade tomorrow.

Nice looking coin. I'd give it a grade of EF-40.

I would say it's a good looking VF coin.

I'd call VF-35 a bit conservative; looks like it deserves EF. It appears original but IMO a coin like this should be graded by a top TPG for extra assurance that it is problem-free.

Well here's the slab. It's a PCGS/CAC XF40. These get pricey at XF and the seller was asking $1600 for this piece. I should have it in hand next week and will post better pics. (I hope! ) P.S. This was actually a trade. I had a 1908 MS63 Saint for sale at $1550 and wanted cash only. This guy offered me the Bust Quarter and a 1877-S Seated quarter (asking $100) for my Saint. I told him I'd do it if he tossed in his 1893-S Barber quarter (asking $275) as well and he agreed. So I have the 3 coins below on the way in trade for my Saint. I feel it was a fair trade both ways.

My guess was going to be XF until I began reading the posts. Then I began to consider VF also. It is XF. It just goes to show go with your first instinct.

The quarters arrived today and I took a couple pics of the 1818. I'm pleased with this quarter.

It looks so much better in your pics. In the earlier ones, it almost looked like environmental damage because it was so incredibly dark : (
I recently got one of this date in F-15. Not for type, but just because I have never ever had a decent one. Had the seller end the listings and made a deal with him because activity seemed to be low anyway. It's a pretty coin, but not as pretty as yours!

Thanks for comments. The Barber quarter I got in this deal is pretty sweet too. It's an 1893-S graded XF45 but it looks AU to me. I'll try to get a couple good pics of it.
