Here Is How I Like 'Em !!!

Hey cavetroll I believe it to be 1964. Don't see any cladding. As for the mintmark have no clue. I like that seated half. Worn coins are cool. Never thought about collecting wornout coins but it is appealing to me more and more.

Now how did that kennedy get so much wear in 40 years? They're not used too often, and I doubt that even used frequently it could get that worn in 4 decades. Somebody wanna explain this to me? I'm thinking along the lines of artificial wear.

I carry mine in my pocket (the Kennedy that is), along with a 1971 Kennedy in G4 and a 1980-D Kennedy in Fr-2, and I worry them whenever I can.

Actually my pics were taken about 6 months ago and I suppose that it is now slightly more worn than the pics indicate.

I've never heard of P01. Is that poor-1? Yep, I think that wear came from tumbling in someone's pocket for a few years but how do you keep something so long without loosing it. I found a very nice 500 yen(roughly $5 US face value) commerative coin, with a gorgeous crane on it, while living in Japan. It was about the same size, or maybe slightly larger, than the Kennedy. I absolutely loved the design on that coin and decided it was going to be my "pocket piece". Suffice to say, I lost it in a month or two of pulling it out and using it in a magic trick or showing it off. To keep something in your pocket for a few decades would be quite a feat as I seem to loose my driver's license, wallet, or other pocket stuff alot more often than I'd care to admit.

I have a 1918 walking liberty I carry around with me because it was the birth year of my grandmother, when she died I bought the whole family a 1918 walking liberty and some of them put holes in them and put them on their key chains and such. Needless to say she is missed alot and everytime I reach in and feel that coin I think of one of the best women I have ever been blessed to know

I have several coins like these. I like them because it makes you wonder where they have been.

My really worn coins include Morgans, a Peace dollar, Buffalo nickels, Barber quarters and halves, Walking Liberty halves, and Standing Liberty quarters. However, I have never seen JFK's as worn as the ones pictured, and they are my favorite coins.
