On my various trips to the USA between 1991 and 2014 my oldest change find has been a 1942D Wheat cent.

If I am not mistaken, the 1850 Seated Liberty dime I just posted in the dime thread is the oldest coin found in a roll based on this thread. :-) Still in shock to see something that old come out of a machine wrapped roll.

That is an amazing find on the 1850!
I think the oldest coin I have ever heard of from a roll is a Roman copper in a penny roll that one of our members found a few years ago.

I jus found my oldest if it counts. It is a 1863 New York Civil War Token found today in a bag of cents.

An 1895 Indian cent. It was a strange roll, in included was a 1935, 1957 D, and a Panama coin. My guess is someone had cleaned out a junk drawer.
