WOW .... I think your set looks great in the Dansco.
Of course Dansco are my favorite albums. But I have had the others and ended up switching everything over to Dansco. Except for a couple of Lighthouse coin cases.

So your the reason there are hardly any Standing Liberty quarters anywhere. YOU have them all or close to it. Ever think to leave some for the rest of the world? Those are some really nice looking coins. I still think they would look better in a Blue Whitman Album. If you looked into it you could have purchased a blank cover and blank pages from Whitman. Also, those press on letters and numbers to make your own Album. Littleton too sells those press on letters and numbers.

I strongly prefer the DANSCO myself. You have a very nice collection my friend! Congrats! Interesting how you dealt with the missing dates, lol. So if I'm reading correctly, you have several dozen 27-d and 27-s slqs? If so, have you considered selling them to put towards a genuine 23-s or a 19-s? I know the 16 is going to be a tough hole regardless.

I also prefer Capital Plastics holders. Their BVD (Bank Vault Drawer) series are 8" wide by 14" tall, specifically to fit the larger Safe Deposit Boxes. The holders themselves are archival quality. I have had copper coins in Capital holders since the 1960's without any degredation of color.

"WOW .... I think your set looks great in the Dansco." Thanks. All of my other others coins are also now in Dansco's. I cheated on a few like adding the Sheild Nickel and V nickel pages to the Buffalo nickel album and the Barber dime pages to Mercury dime album. I went a little overboard in the spending department the last few months.

Those are some really nice looking coins." Thanks. Did I mention Standing Liberty quarters were my favorite coin. Not including the 6 1927S and 6 1927D in the sets I have 39 spare 1927S's and 20 spare 1927D's. I guess they are not as rare as people make them out to be. Here's a few more: Set number 2 (11 holes to fill) Set 3 (11 holes to fill) Set 4 (11 holes to fill) Set 5 (13 holes to fill) Set 6 (17 holes to fill) The starts of set 7 A pile of dateless I got stuck with buying a roll lto on ebay to get a 1924S (and also ended up with a higher grade but damaged 1919) And a few slabbed but unfortunately a quarter of them are VF details graded.

I thin they look better in the Whitman album. Blue really brings out the sparkle in Miss Liberty's eye.

Wow! that's incredible! Seeing sets like these reminds me how much I wish my wife had let me keep all the rolls of coin I once had. I had enough of some to have easy a couple of sets of Liberty Halves and Franklins, and Mercs and Roosies. Anyway, I digress, nice collection!

Thanks for posting more pics. For me when I see both Dansco and whitman albums together it is easy to see which is the nicer looking album.
I also like seeing your stack of Dansco's, I have all the same ones except the SLQ's. I am not sure why I don't have a SLQ album yet, seeing yours makes me want to start one.
I have been putting some SLQ quarters away the past couple years, but mostly when I see them in the junk silver boxes. From the looks of it there might not be any 27 D and S coins left to be found ... you seem to have most of them ...

Definitely a Capital Plastics holder (in black, please!), particularly for lustrous bright white uncirculated silver coins. They may cost more than the average Dansco or Whitman album, but for showing, it just cannot be beat. I have not really liked the current 8x14" BVD series, the holders that were made in the 60's and 70s had a more classic grid configuration in 10x12" or 12x12" sizes with a normal non-serifed font. I find them occasionally on e-Bay. Still looking for the 15x15" commemorative half holder.
Can't wait to see pics of your Capital Holder when all the quarters are inside them! Nice collection.

Quote:I cheated on a few like adding the Sheild Nickel and V nickel pages to the Buffalo nickel album and the Barber dime pages to Mercury dime album Not cheating, just fun. I too have several Albums of all sorts of mixtures. I really don't see why manufacturers don't make sort of continous types in one Album. I've got one with Liberty Head Dimes/Mercury Dimes and Roosevelt dimes all in one Album. No room for proofs and error coins naturally. Liberty Head/Buffalo/Jefferson Nickels in one Album too. Two Mercury dime sets in one Album. Same with Flying Eagle/Indian Cents. Lots of other made up Albums just for fun. I use blank pages and blank Album covers for some of them. On Whitman pages I sometimes cross out the info with a Blue marker and use for whatever I want. One thing for sure is we all now know where all the Standing Liberty quarters on Earth are now located.
