I'm sure this has been done a number of times, but what are the oldest coins you've found in pocket change or at a register.

My top three are:
-1887 Indian Head (just a few days ago: http://www.cointalk.com/forum/t45580/)
-1919 Wheat cent
-1930-S Buffalo nickel

so, how about you?

The oldest coin I ever found in change was an absolutely hideous 1883 Indian cent.

Pocket change? That is a good question.

The oldest coin that I found roll hunting is the 1911 Barber dime in my 7070.

I would have to guess that a 1938 Nickel would be the oldest from normal pocket change.

Sooo... buying milk today at the local Safeway. I was going to use a card, but I remember I had this really tattered and browned 5 I got yesterday at SF Chinatown...

So I used it and what is this? A 1918 cent?

Best tasting milk I have ever bought! *sob*

Someone paid me at Wal Mart with a 1909 VDB Wheat cent. A coin dealer told me it could grade between MS-60-63. It's the best looking coin, regardless of date, in my 1909-1958 album. Second place find is a 1923 Buffalo from the register at least VG.

Some very worn common Liberty V nickels on occasion, ( more often than Buffalo's ) and many wheat cents, a few Mercury dimes, a lot of silver Roosevelt dimes, and a few silver Washington quarters and some 64 Kennedy's and other 40% halves.
Funny thing, I don't look hard at pocket change anymore but can still spot an oddball without my glasses occasionally as the better coins seem to jump out at me anyway.
Recently I remember getting two UNC RED 1962 D Lincolns at the same time and a Nice RED 1944 Wheat cent last week. They just have such a different appearance from newer coins even at arms length.
