Nice F to VF VDB. Not a bad piece for that price!

Because of the wear in the top right lines on the reverse I would give this coin a 35 out of 70. Nice coin for a nice price.

35 sounds a little harsh for the coin after I looked it over a little more. 40 sounds better.

The dark color is throwing grading off.

XF to AU. Would like to see a picture with more light to look at how much the beard, cheek, and ear are worn.
Rest in Peace

I'm Leaning toward EF-45 details. Interesting color.

i will say that when I bought it, 20+years ago, it was labelled UNC. I didn't agree with that grade, but for $4.75, it didn't really matter to me. I'll post new pics with better lighting as soon I can.

I'm leaning toward EF-45 but a better picture might prove some of the rough areas to be sharper than they look in these pictures. Interesting coloring, the pattern on the obverse has a lighter portion at the top, and so does the reverse...does this mean the coin has a 180 degree rotation? Hmmmmmmmmmm..........

the color is definitely "off" in the original pics. these new ones are more true to life.

With the new pics, I'll give it AU-53, nice coin.

Just goes to show how the pics can make quite a difference.

Is that the same coin? The obverse in the latest picture looks very close to MS. The reverse drags this coin down a bit. It appears to be soft struck to the point of looking like circulation wear.
